A Private Cultural Production

Not a class with more extras. A ceremony built around the guest.

The central question is not simply what the guest wants to write. It is what idea should remain after the room falls quiet: vision, trust, courage, continuity, connection, or another value with personal weight.

That idea becomes the subject of a live large-format performance, a personal encounter with the brush, and a finished artwork designed to live in a home, office, boardroom, or private collection.

  • Private by default, with no publicity unless permission is given
  • Designed for executives, founders, dignitaries, and important guests
  • Coordinated directly with a hotel concierge, family office, DMC, or host company

Designed For The Moment

When the guest and the occasion deserve their own production

The ceremony can be commissioned by the guest directly or arranged on their behalf by one trusted point of contact.

Leadership Visit

A private cultural encounter for a visiting leader

For a founder, chairperson, executive team, or distinguished guest whose Tokyo itinerary calls for something considered and personal.

Distinguished Guest

A ceremonial welcome with meaning beyond hospitality

For a hotel, family office, DMC, or Japanese host company arranging a discreet high-touch moment for an important guest.

Company Milestone

A live expression of a value, anniversary, or relationship

For an opening, partnership, board visit, or milestone where one character can carry the story of the occasion.

Legacy Artwork

A commissioned work intended to remain after the visit

For a home, office, boardroom, or private collection, with finishing, protective packing, and international delivery planned from the start.

The Three Acts

From private meaning to a work with presence

Every stage is produced in advance so the guest experiences calm, not logistics.

01

Before Arrival

A character chosen around the guest

A private planning conversation turns the guest's values, leadership philosophy, company story, or milestone into a carefully considered kanji concept before the day begins.

02

The Ceremony

A live work created at full scale

The calligrapher performs on an approximately 1.8-meter shikishi-style art panel or mounted handmade washi. The guest may complete a final stroke, companion character, or seal moment.

03

After The Moment

Finished as art, delivered with care

The work is professionally dried, finished, packed, and delivered to one approved destination. A private photo set and short film preserve the performance without requiring public exposure.

The Centerpiece

The sound of the brush becomes the room.

The calligrapher creates one composition live with a large brush. Music and staging can remain minimal and ceremonial, or be shaped for a formal company welcome. The guest then enters the work through a final stroke, a seal, or a companion character chosen in advance.

Private Arrangement FAQ

Details for concierges, hosts, and private offices

What is included in the JPY 1,000,000 arrangement?

The arrangement is designed to include private planning, the venue, live large-format performance, materials and setup, an English-speaking cultural host, guest participation, chauffeur transport in central Tokyo, professional photography and a short film, artwork finishing, protective packing, and delivery to one approved destination. The final written proposal confirms the exact venue and delivery conditions before payment.

Can the calligraphy reflect a company value or leadership philosophy?

Yes. The concept is developed before arrival around a leadership value, company story, anniversary, relationship, or personal principle. We explain the nuance of each candidate character before the final choice is made.

Can the ceremony take place at a hotel or corporate venue?

Yes, subject to space, floor protection, loading access, sound, and the venue's approval. Hotel suites, private event rooms, and corporate venues may require a revised quotation.

Who owns the finished large-format artwork?

The physical commissioned artwork is included for the guest. Commercial reproduction, campaign use, or transfer of intellectual-property rights is not included unless agreed separately in writing.

Will photos or the guest's name be published?

No. The experience is private by default. We do not publish the guest's identity, company, photographs, or film without explicit written permission.

How far in advance should we inquire?

We recommend at least 30 days for concept development, venue coordination, production, and art-delivery planning. Shorter lead times can be reviewed individually.
